We believe children learn best when they feel safe, supported, and heard. We take a proactive, personalised approach to wellbeing, with our targeted PSHE curriculum, daily morning meetings, and our Responsive Classroom behaviour management model that builds empathy and emotional literacy. Our low student-to-teacher ratio and strong teacher-student relationships ensure that each child’s needs are noticed and nurtured.
Our families are active partners in wellbeing, with regular updates and two-way communication through our learning management system and the Toddle parent app. We foster an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity, supports both gifted and SEND learners, and ensures that every child feels a strong sense of connection and belonging.
At CPIS, student support is personalised, inclusive, and proactive. We identify and nurture a wide range of learning needs—from supporting students with special educational needs to promoting challenge and enrichment for More-Able, Gifted & Talented learners. Our in-house School Psychologist plays a key role in supporting students’ social, emotional, and behavioural development, and works closely with teachers and families to ensure each child is thriving.
We believe inclusion means every child is given the tools and opportunities they need to succeed.
Our teachers receive ongoing training in areas of SEND, differentiation, and inclusive practice. Regular parent meetings and strong communication—supported by our learning management system, Toddle, and its parent app—ensure that families are active partners in each student’s learning journey. Through early identification, collaborative planning, and personalised strategies, we create a supportive environment where all learners feel valued, capable, and successful.
Student voice is central to our school culture. We believe that when students are heard, they are more engaged, motivated, and empowered to take ownership of their learning and wellbeing. Our learners regularly contribute ideas for class topics, end-of-unit projects, and cross-curricular activities. From morning meetings to whole-school student voice surveys, we create structured and consistent opportunities for students to share their perspectives and shape their experience.
Learning leadership skills starts early. Students take on meaningful roles in both classroom and school-wide initiatives, ranging from leading assemblies, contributing to community events, and participating in processes that impact their daily lives at school. Whether through formal leadership roles or informal classroom responsibilities, every student is encouraged to speak up, collaborate, and know that their voice matters.
