At CPIS, our internationally recognised curriculum combines strong academic foundations with a focus on personal development. Through clearly structured learning stages and a broad range of subjects, students build the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed in a global environment. With internationally recognised qualifications and a commitment to holistic education, the programme prepares learners for future success while nurturing curiosity, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.
Our Early Years programme welcomes children aged 2–5 through three stages: Pre-Nursery (2–3), Nursery (3–4), and Reception (4–5).
At Central Point International School, we provide a warm, nurturing start to school life where young children feel safe, happy, and inspired to explore. Our play-based, hands-on approach encourages curiosity while developing early communication, literacy and numeracy, social skills, and independence.
We focus on the whole child, creating an inclusive environment where every voice is valued and confidence grows naturally. In Reception, children work towards the Early Learning Goals across key areas including communication and language, personal and social development, literacy, mathematics, and understanding the world.
By the end of Reception, parents receive a readiness summary outlining their child’s development and readiness for a smooth transition into Year 1.
01
Young learners begin their educational journey by exploring, questioning, and discovering the world around them. Through play-based learning and guided exploration, children develop confidence, independence, and a natural love of learning.
02
Each child grows at their own pace. Teachers provide a nurturing environment where individual strengths are recognised and supported, helping children develop socially, emotionally, physically, and academically.
03
In our diverse international community, children learn alongside peers from many cultures and backgrounds. Through shared experiences and collaborative learning, they begin to develop respect, curiosity, and an awareness of the wider world.
04
Learning in Early Years extends beyond traditional lessons. Through creative activities, outdoor play, and hands-on discovery, children develop imagination, problem-solving skills, and joy in learning.
05
The Early Years programme carefully prepares children for a confident transition into Primary school. Through structured play, early literacy and numeracy development, and positive learning routines, children build the foundations for future academic success.
Our Primary School provides a stimulating and supportive environment for children aged 5 to 11 in Key Stages 1 and 2, where students build strong academic foundations and develop a lifelong love of learning.
At Central Point International School, we deliver a broad international curriculum that develops literacy and numeracy alongside critical thinking, creativity, and problem solving. Our experienced teachers create engaging, learner centered classrooms where curiosity is encouraged, independence grows, and every child is supported to reach their full potential.
Within our welcoming international community, we focus on the development of the whole child academically, socially, and emotionally, helping students build the confidence and skills needed for continued success in secondary school and beyond.
01
At CPIS, students build strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking through engaging learning across a broad range of subjects, including English, mathematics, science, humanities, art, drama, music, and physical education. They are encouraged to explore ideas, ask questions, and think independently. These experiences help learners grow in confidence and develop the skills needed for the next stages of their academic journey.
02
Every child learns and develops in their own way and at their own pace. Through personalised support, ongoing feedback, and thoughtful assessment, students are encouraged to strengthen their skills and discover their individual strengths. In this supportive environment, learners grow in confidence, capability, and motivation as they progress through their Primary years.
At CPIS, we use a combination of internal and external assessments to build a clear picture of each student’s learning, progress, and wellbeing. This balanced approach allows teachers to personalise instruction, identify strengths, and provide timely support where needed.
Our teachers regularly assess students through classroom observations, ongoing formative assessment, project work, quizzes, and end-of-unit tasks. This day-to-day monitoring helps us adjust teaching, track progress, and plan targeted support in partnership with parents.
Alongside these internal measures, we also use a external assessments to ensure students are progressing in line with international benchmarks. These results help guide teaching, identify areas for intervention, and provide valuable insight into each child’s development.
The following standardised assessments take place at key points during the school year:
Measure academic attainment and track progress against international and UK standards. Results support targeted teaching and curriculum planning.
Used to monitor reading and math progress throughout the year. These adaptive assessments allow us to respond quickly and effectively to each student’s learning needs.
Through our cooperation with a local school, students in our Czech language programme can register to take the required state examinations in June and receive an official Czech school report in Czech language and Prvouka/Vlastivěda under §38 of Act No. 561/2004 Coll.
03
Students learn as part of a diverse international community, working alongside peers from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Through collaborative projects and global perspectives woven throughout the curriculum, students develop respect for different perspectives and cultural understanding. These experiences help learners grow into confident global citizens ready to engage with an interconnected world.
At Central Point, English is the language of learning and communication across our school community. All academic subjects are taught in English, and it is also the main language used in communication with parents.
We believe language learning is an important part of a well-rounded education. It supports cognitive development, cultural awareness, and reflects the diverse, international nature of our school.
From Year 2 onwards, Czech native speakers can join our Czech Enhanced Programme. Designed for students whose first language is Czech, the programme further develops strong literacy and advanced language skills while maintaining a meaningful connection to Czech culture and heritage.
For non-native speakers, Czech as a Foreign Language is introduced from Year 3, helping students build confidence and practical communication skills in the local language.
From Year 4, all students also begin learning Spanish, expanding their language skills and global perspective.
Through this multilingual approach, Central Point encourages students to become confident communicators and global-minded learners.
04
Learning continues beyond the classroom through a range of enrichment opportunities that encourage creativity, physical wellbeing, and personal interests. Students take part in activities such as arts, sports, projects, and school events that promote exploration and teamwork. These experiences help learners grow in confidence and curiosity while fostering a lifelong love of learning.
05
The Primary years help students build strong academic and personal foundations for the next stage of their education. As they progress, learners develop essential habits such as organisation, independence, collaboration, and problem-solving. By the end of Primary, students are well prepared to transition confidently to the challenges and opportunities of Secondary learning.
A Proven Pathway to Secondary Success
Central Point graduates receive priority placement at Park Lane Secondary School after completing the Year 7 admissions process. Since 2017, CPIS students have progressed successfully through Park Lane’s Secondary and Upper School programmes, with over 10% earning academic scholarships.
Czech language learning remains an important part of the programme for both native and international students through the Czech National Programme and Czech as an Additional Language (CAL).
Together, Central Point and Park Lane provide families with a clear and supportive pathway from Primary to Secondary education, built on shared values, strong relationships, and high expectations for every student.

Building Intellectual Confidence
At Park Lane’s Prague 1 Valdštejnská campus, students follow the National Curriculum of England within a broad and balanced programme.
KS3 is a formative stage that deepens subject knowledge, strengthens independent thinking, and cultivates intellectual curiosity. It provides the essential foundation for progression into both the Cambridge IGCSE and the IB Diploma Programme.
Academic Rigour with Global Recognition
At Park Lane’s Prague 1 Klárov campus, students undertake the internationally respected Cambridge IGCSE programme, designed to combine academic depth with practical application.
All students study six core subjects:
English Language & Literature, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics.
They then personalise their academic pathway by selecting four additional subjects aligned with their interests and future aspirations.
At the end of Year 11, students sit externally assessed Cambridge IGCSE examinations, earning a globally recognised qualification that opens doors worldwide.
